Our Return Policy at a Glance

Terrain Tool Works provides a 30-day return period for eligible products. The return period begins on the date the order is delivered.

Approved refunds are generally processed by Terrain Tool Works within 7–10 days after the returned product has been received, inspected and the refund has been approved.

Different rules apply when a product arrives damaged, defective, incorrect or materially different from what was ordered. Nothing in this policy limits any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.

01

30-Day Return Period

Eligible purchases from Terrain Tool Works may be returned within 30 days from the date of delivery.

A return request should be submitted within that 30-day period. Requests submitted after the return period may not qualify under our standard return policy unless applicable law, a warranty or another written agreement provides otherwise.

The 30-day return period does not reduce any separate statutory rights that may apply to defective, misdescribed or nonconforming goods.

02

Return Eligibility

To qualify for a standard return, the product should generally:

  • Be returned within the 30-day return period.
  • Be the same product originally purchased from Terrain Tool Works.
  • Be in substantially the same condition in which it was received.
  • Include the major components, accessories, manuals and other items originally supplied with the product where applicable.
  • Include the original packaging where reasonably available.
  • Be accompanied by the order number or other reasonable proof of purchase.

Products returned because of an alleged defect, shipping damage or fulfillment error are evaluated separately and are not denied merely because ordinary inspection or reasonable use was necessary to discover the issue.

03

How to Start a Return

Before sending a product back, contact Terrain Tool Works to request return instructions.

Please provide:

  • Your name.
  • Your order number.
  • The product being returned.
  • The reason for the return.
  • Photographs or other relevant information if the product is damaged, defective or incorrect.

Once the request has been reviewed, we will provide the applicable return instructions and return destination.

04

Do Not Send Returns Without Instructions

Customers should contact Terrain Tool Works before shipping a return.

The appropriate return destination may depend on the product, fulfillment location or circumstances surrounding the return.

Sending a product to an address that was not provided for the return may delay receipt, inspection and refund processing.

05

Change-of-Mind Returns

Eligible products may be returned within the 30-day return period when a customer changes their mind, provided the product satisfies the applicable return condition requirements.

Examples include ordering the wrong model, deciding the product is no longer required or choosing a different product after delivery.

For an ordinary change-of-mind return, the customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the product back to the return destination unless Terrain Tool Works agrees otherwise.

06

Damaged Products

If a product arrives visibly damaged, contact Terrain Tool Works as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the damage.

When possible, retain the product and packaging while the issue is reviewed.

We may request photographs showing:

  • The damaged product.
  • The affected area.
  • The shipping packaging.
  • Shipping labels or identifying information.

When Terrain Tool Works confirms that damage occurred before or during delivery and the customer was not responsible for the damage, we will provide an appropriate remedy consistent with the circumstances and applicable law.

07

Defective Products

If you believe that a product is defective, stop using it where continued operation could cause damage or create a safety risk and contact Terrain Tool Works.

We may request information reasonably necessary to understand the issue, including photographs, video, product identifiers or a description of the problem.

Depending on the product and circumstances, an applicable remedy may involve return, replacement, repair, manufacturer warranty support or refund.

08

Incorrect Products

If Terrain Tool Works sends a product that is materially different from the product ordered, contact us so the order can be reviewed.

Once the fulfillment error is confirmed, Terrain Tool Works will provide instructions for resolving the issue.

Customers will not be required to bear reasonable return shipping costs caused solely by a confirmed Terrain Tool Works fulfillment error.

09

Missing Items

If an order arrives with an expected product or included component missing, contact Terrain Tool Works with the order details.

We may review fulfillment and shipment records and request photographs or other reasonable information before resolving the issue.

10

Products That May Not Qualify for a Standard Return

Subject to applicable law, a return may be declined or the available remedy may be affected where a product has:

  • Been materially damaged after delivery by the customer.
  • Been misused or used outside its intended purpose.
  • Been improperly assembled, altered or modified after delivery.
  • Been damaged through neglect, improper maintenance or unauthorized repair.
  • Had substantial components or accessories removed or lost.
  • Been returned in a condition that is materially different from the condition in which it was supplied for reasons unrelated to an alleged defect.

These limitations do not apply where doing so would unlawfully restrict a customer's rights concerning defective, nonconforming or misdescribed goods.

11

Fuel and Hazardous Materials

Certain outdoor power equipment may use fuel, oil, batteries or other materials that can be subject to carrier transportation restrictions.

Before returning equipment that has contained fuel, oil or another regulated material, customers must follow the return and carrier instructions provided by Terrain Tool Works.

Do not ship gasoline or another prohibited hazardous substance through a carrier unless expressly permitted and packaged in accordance with applicable transportation requirements.

12

Return Shipping Costs

Change of Mind Customer Responsible

The customer is generally responsible for return transportation costs for an approved preference-based return.

Confirmed Defect or Store Error Terrain Tool Works

Terrain Tool Works will arrange or cover reasonable return transportation when required because of a confirmed defect, shipping damage or fulfillment error for which the customer is not responsible.

Return shipping responsibilities do not override rights or remedies available under applicable law.

13

Original Shipping Charges

Terrain Tool Works currently charges $225 flat-rate shipping for applicable orders.

For a standard change-of-mind return, the original shipping charge is generally not refundable once the shipping service has been performed.

Where a return results from a confirmed defective product, fulfillment error, shipping problem attributable to Terrain Tool Works or another circumstance where applicable law requires the original shipping charge to be refunded, the appropriate shipping amount will be included in the remedy.

14

Packaging a Return

Customers should package returned products securely to reduce the risk of damage during transportation.

Where available, original packaging may provide suitable protection and can help identify included components.

When returning equipment, include the documentation or reference information provided as part of the return authorization.

15

Return Tracking

When the customer is responsible for arranging return shipping, we recommend using a trackable delivery service appropriate for the product.

Customers should retain the shipping receipt and tracking information until the return has been completed.

Terrain Tool Works cannot confirm receipt of a customer-arranged return until the shipment reaches the designated return location.

16

Return Inspection

Returned products may be inspected after they are received.

The inspection may confirm:

  • The product associated with the order.
  • The stated reason for return.
  • The condition of the product.
  • The presence of relevant accessories or components.
  • Whether damage occurred before delivery or after receipt, where relevant.

Inspection is intended to determine the appropriate remedy and does not eliminate statutory rights concerning defective or nonconforming products.

17

Refund Approval

After an eligible return has been received and reviewed, Terrain Tool Works will determine whether the refund is approved under this policy and applicable law.

Customers may be contacted if additional information is reasonably necessary to complete the review.

Once approved, the refund will enter the refund processing stage.

18

Refund Processing Time

Approved Refunds: 7–10 Days

Terrain Tool Works generally processes an approved refund within 7–10 days after the refund has been approved.

After Terrain Tool Works processes a refund, additional time may be required for the customer's bank or financial institution to make the funds available.

Financial institution processing times are outside Terrain Tool Works' direct control.

19

Refund Method

Refunds are generally returned through an appropriate method based on the original transaction and available payment infrastructure.

Because Direct Bank Transfer is currently the available Terrain Tool Works payment method, customers who paid by bank transfer may be asked to provide reasonable information necessary to return an approved refund securely.

Terrain Tool Works will not request online banking passwords, PINs or other unnecessary bank-account access credentials in order to process a refund.

20

Credit Card Refunds

Credit card payments are currently temporarily unavailable.

If credit card processing becomes available in the future, refunds for eligible card transactions will generally be returned through the applicable payment channel where practicable and in accordance with the terms in effect for that transaction.

21

Exchanges

If you would prefer another product instead of a refund, contact Terrain Tool Works to ask whether an exchange is available for the applicable product and circumstances.

Exchanges depend on product availability and may require adjustment for any difference in price.

An exchange is not guaranteed until it has been confirmed by Terrain Tool Works.

22

Order Cancellations Before Shipment

If you wish to cancel an order before it has shipped, contact Terrain Tool Works as soon as possible.

Where cancellation remains possible and payment has already been received, the applicable refund will be processed according to the transaction status and this policy.

We cannot guarantee cancellation once an order has entered shipment or can no longer reasonably be stopped.

23

Orders Already Shipped

If a cancellation request is received after the order has already shipped, the customer may need to receive the product and complete the applicable return process.

Any mandatory cancellation rights provided by applicable law remain unaffected.

24

Manufacturer Warranties

Some products may include a warranty supplied by the manufacturer. Manufacturer warranties are subject to their own terms and conditions.

Where applicable, Terrain Tool Works may provide reasonable information to help identify the appropriate warranty process.

A manufacturer's warranty does not eliminate consumer protections that apply independently under law.

25

California Consumer Rights

This policy is intended to clearly communicate Terrain Tool Works' return and refund practices to California customers before purchase.

Nothing in this policy limits a right or remedy that cannot legally be waived under the California Consumer Legal Remedies Act, the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, California Commercial Code or another applicable consumer protection law.

Rights concerning a defective, nonconforming or misrepresented product may differ from an ordinary change-of-mind return.

27

Changes to This Policy

Terrain Tool Works may update this Returns & Refunds Policy when our processes, products or applicable legal requirements change.

The current version will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

Changes to this policy will not retroactively remove rights that have already arisen from a purchase where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
